Content Manager – Multinational

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who possesses work experience with US Military Exercises, managing projects, and international affairs. This position requires the applicant to support US Military exercise planners, as well as be able to demonstrate strong public speaking, writing, editing, and communication skills. Our office is located in Vienna/Tysons Corner area and is Metro accessible on the Silver Line (Springhill Metro).

Position Summary:

Multinational Content Managers are responsible for building and managing relationships with government and non-governmental partners. Content managers support military exercises with research and mapping, manage relationships and projects, and train customers on our program.

Research: Content Managers develop informational products combining independent research from reports, articles, maps, and datasets. Products developed need to be in-depth, but easily digestible. Content Editors will work with multiple data types and may help develop maps using tools like ArcGIS, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, QGIS, Google Earth, and others.

Exercises, Training and Relationship Management: Content Managers interact daily with customers in person, over the phone, and through email to collect and refine requirements. Applicants must be able to liaise with customers, understand how to support their requests, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Content managers will also need to be able to train customers in our program through different mediums (Adobe Connect, Skype, phone calls, or in-person trainings) for both small and large groups (1-100 people at a time), that vary in length (10 minutes to daylong events). Events often focus on exercises, so a background in exercise development, participation, and execution is highly desired.


Required Qualifications:

  • US citizen eligible for a security clearance

  • Research and writing skills

  • Ability to follow directions and function well in a small, fast-paced team

  • Excellent at organizing disparate written material into a coherent product

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information to a large audience

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising quality

  • Ability and willingness to learn various computer and web-based applications

  • Self-starter with creative problem solving abilities


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Work experience participating in or planning table-top or field exercises preferred

  • US Military veterans with deployed experience

  • Experience managing projects

  • Experience public speaking

  • Foreign language skills

  • Knowledge and experience using GIS tools (such as ArcGIS)

  • Knowledge and experience using HTML, Wiki Markup Language (like in Wikipedia), and Python Scripts


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assist in the building and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, information contributors, and users

  • Work under the direction of Site Lead to support exercises, develop relationships, and make well organized, useful, and engaging articles, maps, and other products.

  • Train groups of customers in-person or virtually

  • Extract relevant content from a variety of sources and create products in a format tailored to the information needs of end users

  • Categorize and organize source material to create a user-friendly, interactive experience

  • Participate in mapping processes by gathering user requirements, collecting and organizing data, and helping to create static and interactive maps



Undergraduate or Graduate degree. At least two years of experience.  Experience writing/editing reports, preferred.
