User Engagement Specialist

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Falls Church, VA (Telework approved but must be located in the DC metropolitan area)

The Role: Tesla Government seeks a User Engagement Specialist to work with the Program Manager and other team members serving our Department of State clients and their partners.

User Engagement Specialist – Summary

The User Engagement Specialist will support a collaborative website platform by ensuring users maximize its capabilities. This role emphasizes user onboarding, technical troubleshooting, project implementation, and continuous user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Implementation
    • Execute tasks outlined in project Statements of Work (SOWs).
    • Collaborate with development and data teams to fulfill project requirements.
  • User Onboarding & Engagement
    • Guide new users through platform features and functionalities.
    • Actively engage users to ensure they leverage the platform effectively.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Support
    • Address and resolve technical issues via help desk support.
    • Serve as the primary contact for user inquiries and problem-solving.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Manage and build relationships with clients and partners.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of user needs, gather feedback, and ensure positive platform experiences.
  • User Experience (UX) Support
    • Assist users in customizing their knowledge environments.
    • Collect user feedback and coordinate with developers for potential improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in customer-facing roles and comfort with web-editing tools.
  • US Citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, adept at working with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Located in the DC metropolitan area. 

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of US government operations, particularly the Department of State.
  • Prior experience in project management, technical support, and user engagement.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in International Affairs, Public Policy, Business, or a related field or four years of experience working with USG contractors specifically dealing with Department of State offices.

Salary: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Tesla, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70k-80k
