Front-End JavaScript Developer (Tyson’s Corner, VA)

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-time
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
Do you want to make good software that people actually use?
Do you spend nights working on your own app just to see if you can do it?
Do you code JavaScript in your dreams?
If so, we’d like to meet you.
Tesla Government Inc. (that’s us) is looking for a talented front-end developer to build a cool, new web/mobile app.
Why would you want to work for Tesla? (Not the car company, the other one.) It’s a really good place to work. We make cool stuff that people really use; some of them even like it. There are people here you can learn from. You will write new code, not just maintain old buggy code.
We work hard, but we don’t work to death. We understand inspiration doesn’t work on a time table. We’re a small company, so we can do things the right way. Also, we don’t hire jerks. (If you are a jerk, just stop reading now. Seriously.)
We give our people 4% matching on 401k contributions, health insurance, decent salaries, free snacks, and performance bonuses. We’ll set you up with a top-of-the-line MacBook Pro and two huge monitors. If you don’t have a car, no big deal; we’re close to Metro and bike trails, but if you do have a car, we have free parking. And we have showers if you ride your bike.
Our dev team is good and tight. We work closely, so you need to be on site. If you’re perfect for the job but don’t live in DC, we’ll pay to move you here.
We do work for the government, but we’re not a bunch of zombies working on mind control stuff. We build modern web and phone apps that look good and work well. Our new project has a front end built on JavaScript, ReactJS, and SASS. The back end is a REST API built on Spring-boot, Hibernate, and MySQL.
Here are the job requirements in a format you can understand:
Are you still with us? Wow. . . well. . . great!
(We didn’t really expect anyone to read this far.) So, if you’re up for it, submit your cover letter and resume here:
You have the freedom to form your own path, develop your skills and generate ideas to help contribute to the success of the company.
